Frequently Asked Questions
What is Steady Wrist Pro?
What is Steady Wrist Pro?
It's a training aid for your golf swing, not a support brace. It wraps around your lead wrist and gives you a physical reference point at impact, so you can feel exactly what your wrist is doing instead of guessing from a slow-motion video afterwards. You wear it for five swings, take it off for five, and repeat. The goal is to teach your hands the feel so you can reproduce it without the wrap. It's not there to hold your wrist in place, and it's not for wrist pain or injury.
What happens when I take it off?
What happens when I take it off?
That's the point, and it's built into how you use it. Five swings on, five off, alternating. The trainer gives you the reference; the drill teaches you to find it without one. If a training aid only works while you're wearing it, you've rented a swing rather than learned one.
Won't this stop my wrists from working?
Won't this stop my wrists from working?
No — and any product claiming to freeze your wrist is oversimplifying the golf swing. Your wrists are supposed to move. This gives you a boundary you can feel when the wrist moves outside a repeatable window during practice, so unwanted breakdown becomes something you notice instead of something you deduce three seconds later from a bad shot.
Can I wear it during a round?
Can I wear it during a round?
Treat it as practice equipment. Use of a training aid during a stipulated round would likely not be permitted under Rule 4.3, so it's built for range sessions, practice swings and warm-ups. Check the applicable Rules or your Committee before using any training aid in competition.
Will it fit me?
Will it fit me?
One size, adjustable, and it works on left- and right-handed golfers. It sits on the lead wrist and is designed to work with a glove on. Light enough that it doesn't add meaningful weight to your swing.
How long before I notice anything?
How long before I notice anything?
Most of it happens in the first session — not as a fixed swing, but as awareness of where your wrist actually goes. Building the feel so you can find it without the trainer takes a few weeks of regular practice. Anyone promising you a rebuilt swing in one range bucket is selling you something.
I'm left handed.
I'm left handed.
It works either way round. Wear it on your lead wrist — right hand for a left-handed golfer.
Will it work with a glove?
Will it work with a glove?
Yes. It sits over the glove cuff on your lead wrist. Nothing to adjust.
